Curodont Post-Application Instructions

The hygienist or dentist applied Curodont to your teeth during your appointment today. To receive the maximum benefits from this treatment, please follow the instructions below after your appointment.

Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus

Benefits: helps repair early, non-cavitated enamel damage and white spot lesions without a drill or injections, replenishes lost minerals, strengthens enamel to resist future decay, and helps reduce sensitivity.

Immediately After Your Appointment:

1. Do not eat, drink, or rinse your mouth for 30 minutes.
2. After 30 minutes, you may eat and drink normally.
3. Brush and floss as usual that evening. Be gentle around the treated area.

Curodont Protect (At-Home Gel):

If your provider recommended Curodont Protect, it will help boost and extend your results.

1. Apply it after brushing at bedtime, using a clean finger, a soft toothbrush, or an interdental brush.
2. Use once daily for 1 week after your Curodont treatment, or until the tube is finished.
3. For ongoing cavity prevention, apply twice a week after brushing at bedtime.
4. For sensitivity relief, apply once or several times per day until the discomfort subsides.

Helping Your Teeth Heal:

1. Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and floss daily.
2. Limit sugary snacks, frequent sipping on sweet or acidic drinks (soda, juice, sports drinks), and sticky foods while your enamel rebuilds.
3. If you plan to have your teeth whitened, please wait at least 2 weeks after your Curodont treatment to schedule it.

What to Expect:

1. Enamel repair is gradual and happens over the weeks and months following treatment, using the minerals naturally found in your saliva.
2. Curodont is painless, and there is generally no downtime. You can return to your normal routine right away.
3. We will check the treated area at your regular visits and recommend any follow-up needed.

1. Experience sensitivity or discomfort that does not go away.
2. Notice a change in the treated tooth.
